Ray Donovan actor Steve Bean has died aged 58, after losing his battle with a rare form of nose cancer.

The screen star and comedian, real name Steven Levy, passed away at his Los Angeles home on January 21. Bean detailed his struggle with a “rare and aggressive form of cancer called Sino-Nasal Squamous Cell Carcinoma” in a personal essay for Mel Magazine, entitled “My Year Without a Nose.”

As well as starring on Ray Donovan, Bean also starred in TV shows such as Shameless, Quantum Leap, Murder She Wrote, Monk and Married with Children.

He is survived by wife Caroline Carrigan, son Jacob Randall Levy and parents Irwin and Dorothy Levy.
