Chris Cornell’s death has left Pearl Jam in “limbo” as they record a new album.
Bassist Jeff Ament, who was a member of the late Soundgarden star’s band Temple of the Dog, admits he and his bandmates have struggled to come up with new material, following the tragic rocker’s 2017 suicide.
“I think when Chris passed, it’s tough to wrap our heads around,” he tells Rolling Stone. “We’re just going to keep plugging away until we get one done. We’re just sort of in a little bit of limbo.”
Ament, Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Goddard and drummer Matt Cameron appeared at the I Am The Highway concert honouring Cornell in Los Angeles last week.
