‘KKK’s got your a–, boy’: White Florida DUI suspect tells black cop
A Florida woman who allegedly drove while intoxicated allegedly told a black officer who stopped her that he “f—– with the wrong white people.”
On Feb. 7, 53-year-old Julie Edwards was stopped by deputy Brandon King from the Volusia County Sheriff’s office as she was trying to back up her Lexus at a home in DeLand, Fla., after responding to a disturbance call. Cops say Edwards had an odour of booze on her breath and was slurring her words, reports the Miami Herald.
Cops say Edwards was wobbly while on her feet and refused both breathalyzer and field sobriety tests. The woman allegedly threatened King as he was arresting her.
The whole incident was captured on video.

In a police report, cops noted Edwards “had a prior refusal to submit from a prior DUI”, stating the woman refused to go in King’s cruiser and tried to walk away from the deputy.
“I won’t find you, somebody else will,” Edwards tells King, which was captured on his bodycam that cops released on Tuesday.
“You making a threat to a law enforcement officer?” King replied.
“No I didn’t say that,” said Edwards.
“So what did you mean you’ll find me one day?” King asked.
“I didn’t say I’d find you. I said somebody else will,” said the woman. “I won’t find you. The KKK people will.”
King thanked Edwards for the threat, noting he’ll “add that charge in here, too.”
Edwards allegedly tried to backpedal, stating the comment wasn’t specifically about the arresting officer but noted that the KKK “know people like you.”
“Hey, ain’t a damn thing wrong with a burning cross in your yard is there?” Edwards continued. “Hope you don’t have no kids. You know what’s going to happen to you now? You don’t want to know. You’re done, you’re fucked.
“They’re gonna hurt you bad. KKK’s got your a–, boy. Burn your a–.”
Sheriff Mike Chitwood commended King for his calm response while condemning the woman’s alleged words as “racist garbage.”
“Before you go on a racist rant, just remember we have body cams,” Chitwood tweeted.
Edwards faces charges of resisting an officer without violence, driving under the influence, making a threat against a law enforcement officer and refusing to submit for testing. While she was initially thrown in Volusia County Jail, records show Edwards has since posted bail.
